IMPORTANT NOTICE

CERTIFICATED APPLICANTS

Dear Teacher/Administrator Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the JEFFERSON SCHOOL DISTRICT. As a result of the number of applications being processed by this office, it will not be possible to acknowledge receipt of each application, nor to arrange interviews for all applicants; however, we are pleased to have your application on file.
 
To be considered for a position, you must complete the following:
 1. File an application with all information completed and with your signature. (note: see Resource Box at bottom to download an application)
2. Submit a copy of your resume.
3. Include a copy of your credential(s), both front and back.
4. Submit three (3) letters of reference.
5. Provide a copy of all transcripts, including B.A., to our office. (Official, sealed transcripts are not required unless employment is offered.)
6. Submit proof of passage of CBEST, if applicable.
7. Submit proof of passage of NCLB "Highly Qualified" status (i.e. CSET, MSAT, NTE ).
8. Include any other material or letters to help determine skill, experience and education.
 Upon completion of all of the above application requirements:
 1. The complete file will be reviewed in detail with regard to credentials, experience, grade level or subject areas, particular strengths and skills.
2. Interviews will be arranged with those applicants whose files suggest they have the background, skills and potential being sought by the Jefferson School District.
3. You may be asked to write a lesson plan or teach a lesson as part of the interview process.
4. Your application will be kept on file for one year.
