TE: Ruby Bridges Walk
When: Tuesday the the 14th of November
Where: Meet on the corner of Lakeshire and Lincoln (By the District Office)
and wear purple!
Time: 7:45 am
Why:Together let us honor Ruby Bridges and her incredible strength and
courage as she was the first African American child to desegregate William
Frantz Elementary School at the young age of 6. Her bravery helped pave the
way for Civil Rights in the south.
We will march past the district office, up Lincoln, turn left on Southgate and march
down our front driveway! We have purple flags and banners to hand out. Feel free
to make your own posters to march with. When we arrive back to school, we will
have snacks and drinks for the marchers.
I hope to see you all there.
