Dear JESD community,
One of the qualities that makes JESD students and staff shine is their commitment to empowering students to take ownership of their learning! Students are encouraged to set meaningful goals for themselves and actively work toward achieving them. With guidance from caring teachers and staff, students learn how to reflect on their progress and celebrate growth along the way.
Goal-setting helps students build confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose. When students feel supported in reaching their goals, learning becomes more engaging and impactful. Whether the goal is academic, social, or personal, students are given the tools and encouragement they need to succeed. This culture of empowerment prepares our students for the next grade level and for lifelong learning.
I invite you to watch the video below and see a student share his own experience with setting and achieving goals. Learn about the meaningful work taking place in our classrooms each day.
Sincerely,
Sandy Mikulik
Superintendent
