Franklin D. Roosevelt Elementary School is a K-8 school located in the southwest corner of Daly City bordering Pacifica. We serve students both in Daly City and Pacifica.  FDR serves a diverse population of students composed of 39% Filipinos, 21% Hispanic, 12% African-American, 9% Asian,13% White (non- Hispanic) and 2% undeclared. This population also includes socioeconomic disadvantaged students, English Learners and students with disabilities. 47% of our students also participate in the free and reduced lunch program.

The majority of FDRs students live in walking distance to school, some students take public transportation to school, and most of the special education students are bussed to FDR from other parts of Daly City. Sixteen teachers provide academic instruction to 275 general education and special education students. The support staff consists of a principal (1 FTE), speech therapist (.60 FTE), a part-time school psychologist(.40 FTE), Special Education Instructional Aides (7.5 FTEs), Library Aide (.25 FTE), Secretary (1 FTE)
