PTA

Welcome Back!

Hi! On behalf of the FDR PTA, we would like to welcome everyone to a new school year! Our names are Nicole Guevara (PTA President) and Amanda White (PTA Treasurer). We are so excited to work with you as part of the FDR community for the 2024-25 school term! We look forward to meeting all of you! FDR’s PTA is small but mighty. In the last 3 school years we have more than quadrupled our fundraising dollars! It is through your help and this fundraising that we can make a big difference in our school community. One of the new programs funded by the PTA last year was our partnership with Spindrift School for the Performing Arts. It was through this partnership that FDR students performed in an end of the year Musical Theater production of Matilda Jr.! Last year the PTA also funded field trips and field trip buses for each classroom, as well as online educational platforms, new jerseys for sports teams, ice-cream trucks for the students, and so much more.

This year the PTA has big plans! For example:

We’ve already purchased school supplies!
We’re allocating funds to 8th grade and 5th grade for their Yosemite and Outdoor Ed trips to reduce the cost for all students
We are again allocating funds towards field trip buses
We are bringing Spindrift back for:
- K-2 raising stars music/dance enrichment
- 3-8 after school show choir
- 3-8 after school musical theater production of Lion King

We can’t do this alone. Please be on the look out for volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We rely on our community to help make all the services we provide a success. Get involved today to help us make a difference!
