Spelling Bee 2024
The District Spelling Bee will be held at Benjamin Franklin School on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 6:30p.m.
Each school needs to submit to Fiona at BF the names of their grade level winners (grade 4-8) by February 13, 2024. Spelling Bee Winners

The District Spelling Bee will be an oral competition with elimination on a “miss and out” basis. The district rules will be the same as the county and national rules, which are found in the “Scripps National Spelling Bee” guide.
Students will first meet in the multi-use room (MUR) at 6:30pm for a brief welcome, then immediately disperse to assigned classrooms for the elimination rounds for grade 4-8. Students will compete against other students from their respective grade level in the first round of the evening.
The winner from each grade level competition will advance to the final round, which will be held in the MUR at approximately 7:30pm.
At this point, these five grade level winners will compete to determine a District Champion.
The District Champion will receive a trophy and each grade level winner will receive a medal.
Please make Word List copies as needed for your site’s contestants.
