Parents Often Ask: How do I keep track of all the events, activities and assignments at Fernando Rivera?
Here are some tips to help you stay up to date:
Most notices go home on Wednesdays so it’s good to check with your student each week to make sure they are giving them to you.
Take time to read the monthly Principal’s Newsletter, sent home the first Wednesday of the month. It is also posted on the website under "monthly newsletter" in the parents section. You may also sign up to receive our newsletter by email by clicking here.
Make a copy of the calendar in the Binder Reminder. It has all the events for the year, listed by month. It’s always a good idea to call the office and double check on dates, however, because sometimes we do need to change them as the year goes on.
Check our website frequently. We are working hard to make our website a valuable tool for helping families stay involved.
Look at the homework assignments written in your child’s binder reminder every evening and also look over completed homework. If your child is having difficulty with homework, or is telling you that there is no homework, we strongly suggest that you call the school immediately so we can help your student get back on track.
If you can’t find the information you need, please give us a call. Our office number is (650) 991–1225 and we are happy to hear from you!
If you have any concerns about your student's experience at Fernando Rivera, please do not hesitate to let us know. Just call the office at 991.1225 and speak with the Principal, Ms. Parcels, or the Vice Principal, Mrs. Lujan. You may also leave a message for your child's teacher if your question is about a class assignment or your child's progress in a certain class.
