Welcome to our new and returning Westlake Tiger Families! I am so excited to see you all in person soon. Our email system was just updated to our new school year, so thank you for your patience in getting this letter to you.
I am attaching some important links for you:
- Westlake Bell Schedule
- Afterschool Program Champions Site Director Link (email to register). Afterschool program begins at the end of student’s school day, dismissal between 5:30-6:00pm (sorry, no early dismissals)
- Jefferson Elementary District Calendar
- Join Westlake PTA
- Classroom Supplies - scroll down half way to find recommended classroom supply link
I sent out a video message showing the locations for student drop off in the mornings and pick up in the afternoon. I hope this was helpful!
The district is no longer providing morning day care, so please plan accordingly. You are welcome to drop off your child at 8:05 if they will eat breakfast at school. We encourage parents to remain with their child in the MUR if your child will eat breakfast. If students will not be eating breakfast at school, they can be dropped off between 8:10-8:24 at the front gate or car line by the large playground. It is important not to drop your child off earlier than 8:05 to eat breakfast or 8:10 to wait in the yard. There is no supervision.
Class lists will be emailed to you by the end of the day, Friday 8/12/22.

I encourage all of you to register for our Westlake PTA (link above). The PTA funds our field trips, art program, events (as Covid protocols allow). It is also just a great way to be involved with your child’s school.
As of now, Covid protocols remain, masks are not required, but strongly recommended.
I look forward to seeing you all on our first day of school, Wednesday 8/17/22. School starts at 8:25am

Principal's Letter 2018:
I am Liz O’Neill, the new principal at Westlake. I’m so excited to be joining the Westlake Elementary Family! I have been involved in school communities for many years. I started off as a PTA member in Pacifica, where my children attended school. I became very involved, as a treasurer, vice president, and president. I was a grade level liaison, and volunteered in the classroom. I had worked in banking, but my involvement in schools led me to take a position as a substitute teacher, then classroom teacher, administrator, and ultimately principal of Westlake. I feel my journey has led me to the perfect school!
I was born in San Francisco, grew up in Pacifica and have lived there ever since. I have been married to my husband Mike for over 30 years, and I have 3 grown children, Sean, Siobhan and Alana.
I love to compete in Spartan races, hike, ride my bike, and take my dog for walks. I enjoy reading, knitting, cooking, gardening, and completing puzzles. One of my favorite activities is enjoying my morning coffee on my deck.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone! See you at Westlake!
