Mission Statement
At Westlake Elementary our mission is to encourage and guide our students to develop to their fullest potential, both intellectually and socially. We promote a culture of understanding where we value the diverse qualities of individuals in our community. We take a stand against prejudice and racism, and we celebrate inclusivity. We aim to recognize, appreciate, and share each person’s experiences, thereby enhancing the lens through which we all view the world.

Minimum Days:

We begin promptly at 8:25am. A morning announcement and flag salute is held daily at 8:20am on the blacktop.

Please ensure your child is on time. Late arrival can cause your child to miss important information and can be disruptive to other students’ learning. Please call the office at (650) 991-1252 if your child will be absent and a reason for the absence. Please note that any illness after 3 consecutive days will require a doctor's note upon return. We take attendance very seriously because it affects learning. Please plan your vacations around school breaks.
