WHAT IS PTA?

   PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is a non-profit organization that aims to advocate for students. The National PTA was founded in 1897, meaning the organization has been around for more than 115 years!  When you become a member of George Washington’s PTA, you also become a member of the state and national PTA. There are many benefits and resources available to members.

WHAT DOES GEORGE WASHINGTON PTA DO?

At George Washington Elementary School, the PTA does a lot for the school, students, and teachers. Here’s a list of some projects GW PTA was or is involved with this school year:

qHost a "Welcome Back to School" luncheon for teachers and staff
qGingerbread House Making Night
qSell school spirit wear (GW sweatshirts and t-shirts)
qGW Fair (end of the year)
