May 8-12, 2023 - Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our Westlake Teachers and Staff! Thank you to all the generous volunteers who brought food to help celebrate our wonderful educators! A special thank you to Leah and Nobuko for the beautiful decorations and making this a memorable event! Thank you Paula for the lovely Teacher Appreciation Week signs and posters! Thank you to all the terrific volunteers who came early to set up and clean up after the event each day! It was very much appreciated by our teachers and staff!

Teacher Appreciation Week | 2022
May 2-6, 2022: Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We had a delicious week of daily themed feasts for our Westlake teachers and staff! The teachers and staff were very appreciative and super happy to not have to worry about packing lunch for the week (enough for breakfast and dinner too)! Check out all the yummy dishes! Thank you to the PTA, to the families who provided entrees, appetizers, desserts, snacks, and drinks! Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped with decorations, set up, and clean up throughout the week! We are very lucky to have you!

May 7, 2021 - On Friday, it was sweet treat surprises for our teachers and staff! Thank you to our PTA Officers, Paula F., Dong T., Mitch H., Cheryl D., and Masha M. for providing yummy bundtlet cakes for all of our Westlake teachers and staff!

May 6, 2021 - On Thursday, we brought Mexican food for our teachers and staff. There was a selection of chicken, steak, and veggies with rice, salsa with chips, drinks, and treats! Special thanks to Jenny M., Ruth T., Moojii M., Amanda G., Linda T., Paula F., Marlon & Daisy, and Sara A. for providing the Westlake teachers and staff with a yummy meal! Thank you Ruth T. for providing drinks! Thank you to Cheryl D. for the special treats and decorating!
May 4, 2021 - On Tuesday, our teachers and staff were treated to a special lunch! On the menu was chicken with rice, and veggies, bread, water, and treats! Thank you to The Tostado Family and The Becker Family for providing the Westlake teachers and staff with a wonderful meal! Thank you to Fabiola and Catarina for the beautiful cake!
May 3, 2021 - On Monday, our teachers were surprised with a sweet balloon display from Leah T! What a fun way to kick off Teacher Appreciation week! Thank you Leah!

More than ever, we appreciate all you do to help our children learn and grow as we continue our journey through At-Home Learning and beyond. Although we cannot celebrate with our traditional yummy themed lunches at school, we celebrate you in our hearts with a tribute of smiling photos in your honor! JCPTA Founders' Day Honors | 2020
February 13, 2020: Congratulations to Mrs. Hansen for being honored at the JCPTA Founders' Day celebration! Thank you for making a positive impact in the Westlake community by your exemplary service as a teacher, former PTA President, and board member, unwavering support for our school's activities, and for starting our Walk-A-Thon fundraiser, which is now a tradition in our school.
Mrs. Hansen began her teaching career at Westlake. Her daughter started Kindergarten in Westlake in 2011 and that's when her PTA commitment began with various leadership roles as President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Westlake PTA is lucky to have her support in all their endeavors to make the school a better place to achieve students' success. From all of us in Westlake, thank you Mrs. Hansen!
