Student Opportunities

Garden Village Tutoring Program

Our joint program with Garden Village Elementary School provides an opportunity for our students at Ben Franklin to serve as a tutor and mentor to elementary students. This also creates a sense of community and support system for students who will be attending Ben Franklin in the future.  A certificated teachers supervises the program at Garden Village.

Peace Keeper Program- Restorative Justice Model

The Peace Keeper Program is designed to allow specially trained students to assist other students in finding positive ways and processes to resolve disagreements and conflicts. They are also seen as strong leaders in building a positive school climate for their peers. In order to participate in this program students are required to attend a monthly meeting throughout the school year.

Falcon Cheer

Falcon Cheer is a squad that promotes positive school climate and spirit! They participate in all school wide activities, spirit days, student games, assemblies, adopt a teacher program, and after school events. In order to participate in Falcon Cheer you have to tryout, maintain a 3.0 GPA (with no D’s, F’s or N’s), maintain appropriate behavior inside/outside of school at all times, show excellent school leadership, assist Student Government in any activities when asked, participate in fundraisers, attend one after school practice/meeting per week (1.5 hrs).

Student Ambassadors

The role of a Student Ambassador is to provide information, answer questions and provide school tours to new students and families. They are expected to carry themselves with the utmost respect and responsibility at all times. These students are selected by Faculty and Staff. These students will also be presenting at Feeder School Visits, this is when students from our surrounding Elementary Schools come to Ben Franklin to hear information about our school.

These are just the programs that I supervise, check out the rest of the website for more opportunities!
