Hello JESD community,
April is National Volunteer Month, and we are grateful for the parents and guardians who continue to show up for our schools! When families and educators work together, students benefit. Parent engagement is essential. Supporting learning at home, staying in touch with teachers, and volunteering on campus all send a clear message that education matters.
National Volunteer Month is an important time to recognize this impact. Thank you to our JESD parents and community members who give their time to support classrooms and programs. These efforts shape our welcoming, engaging, and safe schools. Students are more likely to attend regularly and stay motivated when families are involved. Your presence and support make a lasting difference.
Whether you are helping in classrooms, supporting events, or staying engaged in your child’s learning, your time and commitment make a real difference. Your involvement helps create strong schools where students feel supported and ready to succeed.
Thank you for being an important part of our JESD community!
Sincerely,
Sandy Mikulik
Superintendent
