Friday, 9/19, is Team Spirit Day. Come to school wearing your favorite sports team's gear!
There will be no school on Monday, 9/1/2025 in observance of Labor Day.
This workshop is designed to help parents and guardians understand how their child learns best and how to support them effectively both at school and at home. During the session, families will be introduced to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework—a powerful approach our teachers use to create flexible learning environments that benefit all students.

Back-to-School Night will be on Thursday, September 4. The event will be from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Schedule:
5:30 - 6 pm: Principal Welcome and PTA Information - Cafeteria
6 - 6:30: Meet your child's teacher (session 1)
or
6:30 - 7: Meet your child's teacher (Session 2)
We have two sessions in case you cannot make it to one or you may have more that one child attending GV.
We ask that families do not bring children who are 5 and under to this event as information regarding curriculum, learning standards and schedules will be discussed. Older students can attend if they wish.
The school day will also be a minimum day. TK-K pick-up is 12:45 PM and Grades 1-5 pick-up is 1:05 PM.
The first day of the 2025-26 school year will be Wednesday, August 13. It is a minimum day: TK-K pick-up is 12:45 PM and Grades 1-5 pick-up is 1:05 PM.

June 6 will be our last day of school for the 2024-25 school year! To celebrate, come to school dressed in tropical attire (leis, hawaiian shirts, etc.). Happy Summer!
Thursday and Friday, June 5 and 6 are both minimum days for students. TK-K pickup is at 12:15 PM. Pickup for grades 1-5 is at 12:30 PM.
