The Administration recommends approval of the starred (*) items on the rest of the agenda.
2. JSD’s Sunshine Proposal to AFT, Local 3267, for New Contract 2009-2012 School Years.........................Action (V)
Open negotiations on Article II - Wages, Article III – Hours of Employment, Calendar, Article VI – Health and Welfare, and Article X – Class Size. A Public Hearing will be held to receive public input on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. The Administration recommends acknowledging the receipt of, and direct sunshining and distribution for public review as required by the Rhodda Act.
3. CSEA, Local 233, and the Jefferson School District Agreement for the 2008-2009 School Year.........................Action (V)
The Administration recommends approval of the Agreement and Memorandums of Understanding between CSEA, Local 233, and the Jefferson School District, for the 2008-2009 School Year.
4. JSD’s Sunshine and Counter Proposal to CSEA, Chapter 233, for the 2009-2010 School Year.........................Action (V)
Reopen negotiations on Article 5 - Wages, Article 6 – Health & Welfare Benefits, and Article 17.4 - School Calendar. A Public Hearing will be held to receive public input on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. The Administration recommends acknowledging the receipt of, and direct sunshining and distribution for public review as required by the Rhodda Act.
II. BUSINESS & FINANCIAL PROCEDURES - Enrique Navas

III. CERTIFICATED PERSONNEL - Jan Hopkins
1. Certificated Retirement.........................Action (V)
The Administration recommends approval of the retirement request from OLIVIA ROLNIICK, 3rd grade teacher, M. Pauline Brown School, effective June 13, 2009. Ms. Rolnick has been employed in the District since September 1, 1972. The Administration also requests that an appropriate resolution be prepared commending Ms. Rolnick for her years of service with the District.
2. * Certificated Resignation.........................Action (C)
The Administration recommends acceptance of the resignation request from: KATHERINE YEN, 1st grade 20% Jobshare teacher, Thomas Edison School, effective June 12, 2009. Ms. Yen has been employed with the District since August 27, 2007.
3. * Certificated Leave of Absence for 2009-2010.........................Action (C)
The Administration recommends acceptance of a request for a Leave of Absence received from:
CARL MICHAEL BENSON, 3rd grade teacher, Susan B. Anthony School, extension of an unpaid Personal Leave of Absence for the 2009-2010 school year.
4. * Math and Language Arts Coaching Positions for 2009-2010.........................Action (C)
The Administration recommends hiring the following teachers for Math and Language Arts Coaching positions for the 2009-2010 school year at their current appropriate level on the teacher salary schedule: Math Coaches: KRIS ACQUISTI and CHRISTOPHER MAPA; Language Arts: BARBARA DZWONEK and MELINDA DART.
